Volunteering Development Officer


Centra has an excellent opportunity for a Volunteering Development Officer working 22 hours per week on a permanent basis.

You will participate in the development of the Volunteer service with a specific focus on leading the delivery of a Learning & Development programme for volunteers who engage with a range of functions.

Without the valuable commitment of volunteers, Centra Care & Support would not be able to deliver its wide range of high quality services. Volunteers are actively engaged in supporting our service users to become more independent and make informed choices that affect their lives.

You will take responsibility for every aspect of the Learning & Development Cycle – learning needs analysis, training design, delivery and evaluation.

You will support the growth of the Volunteer Service by leading on the delivery of regular training for staff working with volunteers and promoting good practice in volunteer involvement.

Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people and organisations, at all levels, for the benefit of networking and forging partnerships.
