Money Matters

Circle Housing Wherry have been supporting residents at the Ipswich Foyer, aged between 16 and 25, to manage their money better! Money Matters is a fun, friendly, informal workshop which helps them to get ready to move on into their own home by helping them to:

• Identify the difference between High, Medium and Low priority expenditure
• Recognise the importance of good budgeting and know how to do it!
• Identify the real cost of moving in and living in your own home.
• Understand the different options for borrowing money and how to avoid paying high levels of interest.

Using laptops and Ipads we use some of the budgeting tools available on the Money Advice Service website to help them to learn how to manage their money. The government’s Money Advice Service website  has lots of good advice on how to manage your money, deal with debt and where to get support in your area.
