After a year at university, Audra realised it wasn’t for her and thought she could progress her career more successfully through an apprenticeship. She was right.
“Over the course of my apprenticeship with Circle Housing, I’ve really developed my skills: people skills, design skills, business skills and, of course, marketing skills. I get paid while I learn and I’m able to pursue the career I’ve always wanted.
On a day-to-day basis I liaise with our print management company and organise the printing of any marketing materials such as posters, leaflets and also any merchandise. There’s lots I love about my job but one of the things I like best is that I get to work with some really amazing people.
If one of my friends asked me about doing an apprenticeship, I’d say that it’s a fantastic opportunity and they should definitely go for it. My future looks really promising now and I feel like I’ve gained important life skills and great career prospects for the future.
I’ve also learned that university isn’t for everyone!”
