Who we are

“We don’t just build houses, we create sustainable communities for everyone through a business head and social heart.”

– Circle Housing Group Employment & Skills Team

Research shows that just 44% of social housing tenants have a job, compared to 69% who rent privately. Circle Housing recognises that being in work is likely to improve individual and family health and wellbeing, increase confidence, generate a sense of belonging and promote financial independence. We have developed a range of E&S programmes for our customers and the wider local community. We understand the steps which people need to take to get into sustainable work. These include:

  • Information, advice and guidance
  • Vocational and employability training
  • Work experience
  • Apprenticeships
  • Professional development

We run a range of programmes to help our customers get into sustainable work and have the scale and reach to create training and job opportunities through our partners

Our E&S programmes were externally recognised in 2014 with Business in the Community Big Ticks and the ENEI Community Impact Award.

Made up of a group of organisations that are united by shared values and goals and collective governance, each group member brings something to the table in terms of their own strengths and areas of expertise. Our Mission is to ‘Enhance Life Chances’ in terms of providing great homes and reliable services, building sustainable communities because of our collaborative group approach.

Enhancing life chances

We are experienced at leveraging scale and delivering efficiencies in a large group. However, it is not size alone that matters to us at Circle Housing, but rather how we use this scale to deliver efficiencies and better services that in turn better support our commitment to enhancing life chances.
